Traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine is the main focus at Shiki-tei, but the main draw is definitely delicious fish. The exquisite bounty of the Sanriku area's ocean is served here 365 days a year. Please take the time to visit Shiki-tei and sample the wide array of dishes, from pure Japanese cuisine to fusion cuisine, skillfully arranged to bring out the best qualities of the fish. Many types of sake that are perfect to pair with your meal are also available.

Matsushima Ichinobo's approximately 23,000 square meter water garden features flowering plants that bloom all year round, Matushima's famous pine trees, and a large pond that seems to meld with Matushima Bay. The garden is also home to a chapel with stained glass that was overseen by artist Kyōhei Fujita.
